The Art of Gastronomy
Founded by chef PAMELA WADE, PRIVATE PALATE SUPPER CLUB was born from a passion for the dramatic and the delicious.
Pam’s Culinary Journey
Pam was born in the small town of Shelbyville, Kentucky—the midpoint between Lexington and Louisville, nestled in the heart of Bourbon Country. Growing up in a rural setting, Pam discovered early on that food would play an important role in her life. She didn’t know exactly how her future would take shape, but she knew she had a deep passion for food—its natural growth, its preparation, and the joy of bringing flavors together.
As time went on, Pam’s love for cooking only grew stronger. This decision led her to the Culinary Institute of Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she received a first-class culinary education. The experience opened new doors, giving her the confidence and skills to pursue a future that was both meaningful and impactful in the world of food.
Her career soon took off. Pam catered for distinguished figures including Dolly Parton, Clifton Davis, and other dignitaries. She also shared her expertise as a Food Critic for the Cincinnati Herald. Her path eventually led her to Washington, D.C., where she served as General Manager and Executive Chef for Members of Congress. In this role, Pam’s expertise was trusted at the highest levels—she was even called upon as a troubleshooter for Freddie Mac, the Thurgood Marshall Building, and the Rayburn Building.
Now retired from the restaurant business, Pam continues to do what she loves most—cooking and sharing her culinary gifts with others. Her favorite moments, however, are those spent with her family and friends. For Pam, food has always been about connection—and those connections remain the most rewarding part of her journey.
